Provide basic medical knowledge of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period to our professionals so they are able to facilitate healthy discussion between their clients and the medical staff, as well as build bridges between the birth and medical communities.

Earned her bachelor's degree in African-American studies in 2002. Then completed DONA birth doula training in 2006, became a Certified Childbirth Educator and Early Lactation Care Specialist in 2007 through Perinatal Education Associates, Inc, then a registered nurse in 2010, and finally a board-certified lactation consultant in 2015. Jamilla will begin her CNM program at Frontier Nursing University in July 2018.
She is the CEO of The Labor Lady, LLC, which is the parent company of The Labor Ladies and IBFA.

Earned her bachelor's degree in social work in 2009. Became a birth and postpartum doula in 2015, and a certified childbirth educator in 2017. Jade serves as the Doula Director for The Labor Ladies, and co-teaches the birth and postpartum doula trainings for IBFA.
